New Pattern: Little Hoppy Creature (mini)

Here is a new pattern just in time for Easter.  It is very simple and requires only a small amount of yarn, so even if the Easter Bunny is running behind this year it should be easily completed in time for the holiday.  This is a perfect project for beginners.  Yarn weight is not really important.  Just match the yarn weight with the hook size and you should be set.  You want fairly tight stitches when doing  any amigurumi project so keep that in mind when choosing your materials.  I used a local acrylic yarn that they make here in Egypt.  The weight of the yarn is not specified but it is probably closest to sports weight yarn.  I made these using a size E hook. Feel free to comment and let me know what you think.  I also love seeing other people's projects so please post photos of your little creatures on Ravelry .  If you like this patterns please check out the side bar for other little creature patterns.  I hope you enjoy...

New Designs

These little monsters are half the size of my little creatures... but they still have all the bite. I will be posting some free patterns soon for some mini monsters and some finger puppet ideas. If you'd like to get your hands on some of these monsters or any of my other little creations then stop by the facebook page and have a look.  Or purchase one of my little creatures patterns online using the links in the sidebar. Cheers, Jenn

Plarn Mini Flyer

I made this mini flye r using plarn (plastic yarn).  You make plarn out of plastic shopping bags.  Here in Egypt there are tons of plastic bags and no way to recycle them so I decided to make them into something my kids could use.  Between now and Earth Day I plan to work on some other projects using plarn and other recycled materials.  You can check out my Ravelry project page here .

Little Creatures Come to Egypt...

I have started making my little creatures here in Egypt.  Here they are on my front gate.  There will be more to come.  I'm starting another line of smaller ones that I am working on right now. Stop by our Facebook page if you are interested in getting a Little Creature of you own. If you happen to crochet then take a look at the sidebar.  You can buy a Little Creature pattern for only 2 dollars US and make as many as you like. Cheers, Jenn
